Amanda Kloeppel

Namaste Yogis! My name is Amanda Kloeppel. I am a yoga teacher and counselor. I received my RYT-200 from Sadhana School of Yoga in 2021 and my Bachelors of Social Work with a Major in Psychology from the University of Wyoming in 2016. I also completed a 25 hour continuing education training on Prenatal Yoga and plan to complete a Postnatal Training in the near future to serve new moms before and after childbirth. I am currently working towards a 500-RYT through Yoga Medicine where so far I have taken a 55 hour course on myofascial release.

My passion for yoga, mental health and overall well-being merged together over the years of practicing yoga in my personal life and counseling in my profession. I started practicing yoga after the stress of being a mother while going to college took a toll on my body and I felt like a living ball of tension. Not only did yoga release my tight muscles, but it released the tensions I was holding in my mind and spirit. It transformed me mentally, physically and spiritually. This has helped me be a better Counselor, mother and friend because I am so much more compassionate and connected. Yoga has also become my coping skill to release the stresses and tensions that come from secondary trauma when working in the mental health field. Since I have started my career in the field, I have worked in Substance Abuse Counseling for incarcerated males, Case Management for adults with disabilities and working with youth aged 5-21 in a school setting.

I enjoy practicing and teaching many styles of yoga but I’d say my niche is a vigorous vinyasa flow. I am passionate about working with teenagers, people with addictions, and women during and after pregnancy. My goal is to support these special populations on their road to building self-love, confidence and a connection that leave them feeling cleansed and motivated to live their life in pursuit of their highest selves.

I am constantly trying to expand my knowledge about yoga and spirituality in order to grow my own personal practice and to share my findings with those interested; so, if you have a question, please ask it. If I don’t know the answer, I’ll be excited to find it. My goal is to encourage not only the physical growth from asana practice, but to encourage growth both mentally and spiritually as well. Yoga has transformed my life from the inside out and I’m excited and honored to be a part of that process for others as a yoga teacher.
