What is Heated Yoga?

Experience the benefits of our new Radiant Infrared Heated Classes

Infrared is a gentle, eco-friendly, natural form of heating. The (completely safe) infrared rays penetrate skin, helping to assist circulation and warming you from the inside. It feels like having the sun on your face on a summer day.

Infrared heat is radiant heat, a form of energy that heats objects directly without having to heat the surrounding air.

Your body feels pleasantly warm without the feeling of exhaustion that is common in a hot yoga room using a forced air system. The heat in our infrared hot yoga studio is therapeutic, not oppressive.

Infrared yoga helps increase circulation, alleviate aches, and revitalize your body with a sense of wellness and warmth from within.

Infrared yoga is simply a yoga session heated with an infrared radiant heating system. Anyone who has been outside on a sunny day has experienced the warmth of the sun directly on their skin because it is infrared radiant heat. While indoor infrared heaters do not emit UV rays like the sun, they do provide the same comfortable, sun-like warmth.

Intro to Heated Yoga

If you have ever been curious or maybe even a little afraid to try a heated yoga class, this is your chance to see what it’s all about in a judgment and expectation free zone. We promise, it’s not as scary as it sounds!
This class is a great opportunity to test out the waters (or, the heaters lol), and see how, or if, you like it. This practice will include lecture about the benefits and contraindications of heated yoga, and more specifically, our unique system of Radiant Infrared Heat. Of course, you’ll also get the opportunity to move through an hour long practice so you can experience it for yourself!

This class is for those who already have yoga experience and not recommended for total beginners!

This class will give you the ability to explore, have fun, and ask as many questions as you need before, during, and after the class. We will break down information as simple as how to dress, how to get set up, what to bring, and what to expect, as well as what you might typically experience in a heated class, and how to modify when needed.
We will start the class nice and slow then gently bring up the energy with all the modifications you need to fit the practice to your preferred level of intensity.

Our heaters are set to heat the studio to 95 degrees, which can then get a little warmer depending on how many bodies are in the room.

Remember that there is never anything wrong with taking a break and coming back to movement when you are ready.

Come dressed in your moisture-wicking leggings/shorts, and a short-sleeve shirt or tank top. Bring your water bottle, and a towel for sweat. Not all yoga mats are made for heated yoga; if you do not have a hot yoga specific mat, bring an additional towel for grip. We’ll also cover information about hot yoga appropriate mats in class. If you have long hair wear it in a braid, bun, or ponytail.

We are so excited to be able to offer this new and amazing style of Radiant Infrared Heated Yoga to our community, and can’t wait for you to be among the first in Casper to test it out.
